Back to league action this weekend when we welcome Walthamstow to the Elite Travel Stadium for what will be the first match between the two sides, under current names. Previously, as Waltham Forest, we have met 12 times in the Isthmian League and once each in the FA Cup and FA Trophy.

The Stow, who can trace their history back to 1868, are one point ahead of the Suds in the early North division table, having played 6 games. Their record so far is won 1 (against Grays Athletic on 18th August), drawn 1 (against Fakenham Town on 15th August) and lost 4. On Tuesday this week they went down 1-0 at home to Gorleston, having been knocked out of the FA Trophy last Saturday 2-1 at Welwyn Garden City.

Our last two outings have also seen us bow out of cup competitions: 0-2 last weekend at Ware in the FA Trophy and 0-4 on Tuesday night when Newmarket Town visited us in the Velocity Cup. Our last league game saw us triumph 3-0 in fine style at Little Oakley to put our first points of the season on the board.
