Saturday saw our first league goals of the season, they both came in the second half of the game at Concord Rangers. Skipper Kyran Clements expertly turning in a cross at the near post; the second a penalty from Reuben Chinnery. Another goal would have been just reward for a dominant second half performance that demonstrates we are more than capable of getting something out of the games at this level.

And this evening is a perfect opportunity to see if we can go to the next step and put some points on the board against tough opponents in Mulbarton Wanderers, fresh from victories in both the FA Cup – 6-0 v Lakenheath on the 8th August – and the FA Trophy, defeating fellow Isthmian North side Felixstowe & Walton United 2-0 at the weekend.

Promoted to Step 4 for this season, The Wanderers will be keen to make their first league game at this level count, so it won't be an easy evening for The Suds.

Trivia Note: This will be the first time an AFC Sudbury First Team will line-up against Mulbarton Wanderers, who have played against our Reserves in the Thurlow Nunn Division One in the past.
