A defender,( b12/01/95) as a youth player he played for both Chelsea and West Ham United, before playing during the 2016/17 season for Maldon and Tiptree. He helped them to second place and the play-offs where they were beaten. In June 2017 he signed for AFC and made his competitive debut on 12th August. He remained only until 18th October 2017 when he left the club. On 23rd October he had re-joined Maldon and Tiptree and played for them on 10th February 2018, an remained until the end of the season. On 4th June 2018 Heybridge Swifts announced that he had signed for them for the 2018/19 season.

George Clarke

A striker, (b 22/03/96) he started his senior football with Brantham Athletic U16's and also played for Suffolk U16's in November 2011. He went to the Needham Market Academy in 2012 and also played first team football with them. Suffolk U18's also selected him and he was accepted into the Ipswich Town Academy in August 2013, he had trialled there before Needham and had also trialled with Brentford. He stayed with the Portman Road club until June 2014 when he returned to Needham Market. October 2014 saw him leave and join Hadleigh United but in January 2015 he signed for Brightlingsea Regent. He re-signed again for the North Road club at the start of the 2015/16 season, and on 2nd November 2015 joined AFC. He played the remainder the season culminating in winning a Ryman North Championship medal at the end of it. On the 19th May 2016 he was released. He had an injury that stopped him playing early in the 2016/17 season but on 4th January 2017 he signed for Maldon and Tiptree. He required another operation in April 2017. On 8th December 2017 he was announced as a new signing for Brantham Athletic, and on 22nd February 2018 signed an eighteen month contract with the club.

Nathan Clarke

A strong, well built defender (b 13/02/89) signed from Walsham-le-Willows on 2nd March 2010, having previously played for both Bury Town and Mildenhall Town. He signed again for the club at the start of the 2010/11 season , however on 6th January 2011 he was released from his contract by mutual consent and joined Norwich United, where he was in May 2011. He started pre-season 2011/12 with the Blofield based club but on 9th August 2011 he re-signed for AFC. He played throughout the 2011/12 season and won both the Players Player Of The Year and Supporters Player Of The Year Awards. On 24th May 2012 he announced that he would not be returning to the club for season 2012/13. On 31st May it was announced that he had signed for Needham Market, despite needing a groin operation. The operation was done in the last week of June 2012. His recovery was swift and he played part of a pre-season game at the beginning of August 2012. On 22nd January 2013 Needham announced he was joining Walsham-le-Willows on loan until the end of the season. This however changed on 25th March 2013 when he signed on loan for AFC for the remainder of the 2012/13 season, but this did not happen as on 18th April 2013 he had left the club again. On 18th June 2013 he had his contract cancelled at Needham Market and had re-joined AFC on a non contract basis, however on 9th July he decided he could not commit to the club and would not be signing after all. On 26th July it was announced that he had returned to Thurlow Nunn side Walsham-le-Willows for the 2013/14 season. He started playing for them, however having signed on dual registration, on 11th February 2014 he played for Bury Town in the Ryman Premier League also. On 15th February 2014 he turned out for Stanton in the Suffolk and Ipswich League. On 3rd June 2014 he was announced as a permanent Bury Town player for the 2014/15 season. He played for them against AFC on 7th October 2014 but the next day had left and returned to Walsham where he remained until the end of the season. He also played Sunday football for Gym United and on 26th April won the Suffolk Sunday Cup with them. He stayed with Walsham throughout the 2015/16 season. He played again for them in pre-season 2016/17 July 2016 and against AFC on 18th October 2016. He remained with both Walsham and Gym United throughout the season and won the league with his Sunday side yet again. On 7th August 2017 Debenham LC announced he had joined them, however on 26th September he was playing for Stowmarket Town. On 22nd December 2017 he had transferred to Thetford Town. He continued with Gym United and reached the final of the FA Sunday Cup in April 2018 losing in the last few minutes of extra time. On 24th May 2018 he had agreed to play for Newmarket Town in the 2018.19 season.

Sam Clarke

Signed at the start of the 2008/09 season, a central defensive midfield player (b 07/09/87) known for his tough tackling. He previously played for Maldon Town and Great Wakering Rovers where he was the captain of the side at the tender age of nineteen. He collected thirteen yellow cards in season 2008/09. In the middle of April 2009 he signed a contract to stay with the club for season 2009/10, which he did. At the start of the 2010/11 season he was made Vice-Captain of the club and was playing in November 2010. He took over the captaincy in October 2010 and on 22nd March 2011 signed a contract to keep him at the club until the end of the 2011/12 season. July 2012 saw him retained by the club for the 2012/13 season. On 27th August 2012 he broke his right arm which saw him unable to resume training until being given the all clear by the hospital on 21st January 2013 but another injury put him out again until March 2013. On 21st March he signed an extension to his contract to stay at the club until the end of 2013/14. On 17th May 2013 he was presented with the club’s Merit Award for 2012/13 and on 10th June it was announced that he would continue as the club’s captain for 2013/14. He played and on 5th March 2014 he signed an extension to his contract to stay at the club until the end of the 2014/15 season. He missed the end of the 2013/14 when in early April 2014 he had a hernia operation. He returned at the start of the 2014/15 season but at the beginning of September cracked two bones in his wrist keeping out for several weeks. The injury cleared up and he played for the remainder of the season. 'Clarkey' returned at the start of the 2015/16 season and played throughout the season culminating in winning a Ryman North Championship medal at the end of it. He collected the Championship Trophy as Club Captain on 23rd April 2016. On 14th May he agreed a new two-year contract to stay at AFC. He continued in 2016/17 and played throughout the season as the club were relegated from the Ryman Premier League. At the start of the 2017/18 season he was back and playing and Captaining the side on 20th July 2017. On 9th September 2017 he played his 377th game for the club becoming the all tome record appearance maker. He remained until 29th October when after a change of management he left. On 3rd November 2017 he was announced as having signed for Harlow Town where he stayed until the end of the 2017/18 season becoming club captain.

Andrew Claydon

He was a chef by trade when he joined the club having previously played for Newmarket Town. ‘Porky’ (b 8/06/78) signed at the start of season 2000/01 and went on to score 32 goals that term. Had a trial at Norwich City and was watched on a number of times by various Football League clubs as he continued to net. He won the Supporters Player of the Year in 2002/03 and in December 2003 signed a new contract to keeping him at the club until the end of the 2004/05 season. In October 2004 had to have keyhole surgery to his knee keeping out for eight weeks, but came back and signed an extension to his contract to the end of 2005/06. In December 2005 he became a postal worker in Newmarket. He was captured on contract by the new manager at the start of the 2006/07 season and played on for the club. On 13th February 2007 he signed a contract to keep him at the club until the end of the 2007/08 season. There was change of plan at the end of the 2006/07 season and on the 4th June 2007 he was placed on transfer list. On 8th June he had signed for Mildenhall Town in the Ridgeons Premier League on a two year contract. On 28th January 2008 the Ridgeons League bulletin stated he was available for transfer. He was subsequently transferred to Felixstowe and Walton United on 7th February 2008. He was with them again at the start of the 2008/09 campaign and played throughout it. On 9th June 2009, Norwich United announced they had signed him for the 2009/10 season, he played throughout it and was still with them in May 2011. He won their Player of the Year award for 2010/11 and was still with the Blofield club in October 2011. In February 2012 after being out of football due to injury he had an operation on his back to cure the problem. At the start of the 2012/13 season he had joined Ely City an played throughout still scoring goals. He re-signed for the Robins and was scoring for them on 27th August 2013 and remained with them until the end of the 2013/14 season. On 2nd August 2014 he had returned to and played for his first club Newmarket Town. In March 2015 he had an operation on one of his knees and did not play again that season. On 26th July 2016 he played again for 'the Jockeys' against AFC in a testimonial game for Paul Betson.

Kyran Clements

A seventeen-year-old (b 16/05/97) central defender, he joined AFC at the start of the 2014/15 season to play Res/U21 football having previously played for Woodbridge Town. He was named as a first team substitute a couple of times before coming on to make his first team debut on 7th February 2015. He was a regular member of the Suffolk Under 18 side. He was named in May 2015 as the Club's Young Player Of The Year. At the start of June he joined the AFC Academy and agreed to remain with the club for 2015/16. On 20th August he was allowed to go on an eighty-four day loan to Felixstowe and Walton United, however whilst there he suffered a broken jaw and returned to AFC. He returned to fitness and appeared once again for AFC in December 2015. He was still with the club in April 2016. At the start of the 2016/17 season he went on a season long loan with Bury Town. He played throughout the season and at the end won both the Players Player of the Year and also the Young Player of the Year Awards. With one-year left on his two-year contract on 29th June 2017 he was sold for an undisclosed fee to Bury Town. He played for 'The Blues' on 13th February 2018.

Matty Clements

The pacy front runner (b 17/9/77) was signed by manager Mark Morsley on 12th November 2007 from Mildenhall Town on a contract until the end of the 2007/08 season. He was previously with Needham Market in 2006/07 and prior to that Diss Town, Cambridge United (2001) then on loan to Stalybridge Celtic (Oct 2001) and King’s Lynn (Feb 2002) before joining, Cambridge City May 2002 and Chatteris Town. On 11th May 2008 he announced via the AFC website that he was retiring. On 8th June 2012 he was appointed manager of Kershaw League side Hardwick where he had been coaching for a couple of years. He was still with them in February 2015. On 7th June 2015 he was unveiled as the new manager of Godmanchester Rovers and he was still there in April 2016. The club finished as runners-up in the Thurlow Nunn league at the end of the 2015/16 season. On 18th May 2016 he announced he was stepping down from the position to concentrate on his business interests and the work at the Histon FC Academy. On 3rd August 2016 he was the Histon Assistant Manager, this lasted until 31st December 2016 when he was unveiled as the new manager of St Neots Town. He continued in that role at the start of the 2017/18 season and was till there in May 2018.

Jake Clowsley

A fast raiding forward, (b 16/10/93)he started his football career with FC Clacton in their Under 18’s side and was the Players Player Of The Year and leading goal scorer during the 2009/10 season he continued in both 2010/11 and 2011/12 and was the leading goal scorer in both seasons. He made his first team debut for ‘The Seasiders’I in February 2011. He became a regular for them at the start of the 2012/13 season. He left after making 97 appearances and scoring 20 goals and joined Chelmsford City Reserves. He then joined Stanway Rovers from there in November 2015 he went to Brightlingsea Regent. While there he had a spell back on loan with FC Clacton. He left ‘Regent’ in September 2017 and went back to Stanway Rovers but on 5th October signed for AFC. He stayed with the club until 26th February 2018 when he was released and returned to Brightlingsea Regent. He remained with them until the end of the season and on 29th May 2018 agreed to stay for the 2018/19 season.

Darryl Coakley

A defender (b 09/02/91) he spent his youth football with the Ipswich Town Academy joining as an eight year-old before being released as a sixteen year-old in December 2006. He joined the Cambridge United Academy in January 2007 before gaining a professional contract with them in July 2008. In January 2011 went on loan to Cambridge City where he made one appearance. In May 2011 he was released by United having made eight first team appearances for them. He then joined his hometown club Bury Town in July 2011 where he stayed until July 2012 when he signed for Mildenhall Town. June 2013 saw him sign for Needham Market and in season 2014/15 he won a Ryman North winners medal as the club won promotion to Isthmian Premier League. In the 2016/17 season he won a Suffolk Premier Cup winners medal. He returned to ‘The Bloomfields’ club at the start of the 2017/18 season where he stayed until 30th January 2018 when he signed for AFC. He made 233 appearances and scored 10 goals whilst with Needham Market.

Richard Codling

A central defender, he had played for Sudbury Wanderers before the club was formed in 1999, during first season left to go to Clacton Town but soon returned. ‘Codders’ had his career cut short by a serious knee injury. In October 2003 he had his knee operated on and was expected not to be able to work for a year. In July 2005 he was working as a self-employed joiner. In September 2008 he was still working for his family building firm. In February 2009 he was helping coach Cornard United’s under 16 side.

Neil Cogger

An experienced player who was 30 years old when he joined AFC on 12th August 2008 after some good pre-season performances. ‘Cogs’ spent many of his previous playing years with Haverhill Rovers, playing as a wide right-sided man but suffered a bad knee injury in 2007. His previous clubs include both Tiptree United and Cambridge City. On 13th October 2008 he returned to Haverhill to play but with AFC retaining his Southern League registration. In the middle of March 2009 he received a knee injury ruling him out for the rest of the season. He returned to action with Rovers in November 2010, but was injured again in February 2011. In May 2011 there were doubts over whether he would every play again due to his injury, however it was thought that he would be back by October 2011. On 29th September 2012 he was playing for the New Croft side once again. In August 2013 he was apparently retired having still got problems with his knee. On 11th May 2014 he finished tenth in the Haverhill 10k event. A police officer in the Metropolitan Police, he attended The World Police & Fire Games between 26th June and 4th July 2015 in Virginia USA, as a boxer from the Metropolitan Police Boxing Club. He won a sliver medal at the games.

Lauris Coggin

A defender (b 27/09/88) started off with Southend United in 2004 in their under 18′s and was playing for their youth team in December 2006 and then made a number of appearances for the reserves. July 2008 saw him with Team Bath and in October 2008 he played for Frome Town on loan. July 2010 he played pre-season for Chelmsford City. He signed for Witham Town in August 2010 and also played for Priuory Sports a Sunday side, he was still with Witham Town in April and September 2011. He went onto play for Great Wakering Rovers and in January 2012 signed for Heybridge Swifts. He left there to join Brentwood Town in March 2012. Signed for AFC in June 2012, he did not play his first game until 11th September 2012 due to an injury. He was released by the club late in October 2012 due to injury, but was then signed by Heybridge Swifts. On 15th July 2013 Stanway Rovers announced that he had signed for them for the 2013/14 season. He stayed until 25th November when he had left and joined Maldon and Tiptree. On 15th January 2015 he played again for Priory Sports. In season 2016/17 he was with Redbridge FC.

Jake Colclough

A defender, (b 13/12/99() he joined the AFC Academy during the 2016/17 season from Ipswich Town. During the season he was part of the successful Under 18 side that won four trophies. He was also a member of the Suffolk FA Under 18's County side. He was named on the bench for the first team in August 2017 before again being named and getting on the pitch as a substitute on 17th October 2017. He remained with the club until the end of the 2017/18 season when his time at the Academy ended. On 11th July 2018 Mildenhall Town announced he had signed for them for the 2018/19 season.

Liam Coleman

A midfielder (b 11/01/86), he started his career with Colchester United and turned professional in August 2004, but was released at the end of the season having not made a first team performance. He joined Torquay United in July 2005 and made his debut for them in August 2005 and played until December 2005 (14 apps). In March 2006 he joined Forest Green Rovers on loan until the end of the season that saw neither club retain his services. In August 2006 he signed for Gravesend and Northfleet (Ebbsfleet) and was with them until the end of the 2007/08 season during which time he played on loan at Heybridge Swifts. In September 2008 he joined Wivenhoe Town but left after only seven days. December 2008 and he had joined Northwich Victoria. On 1st August 2009 he played as a triallist for AFC and on 13th August he signed for the club. He made only two appearances before being released on 26th August 2009. On 1st September he signed once again for Heybridge Swifts, but in the middle of November 2009 he left to join Stanway Rovers. He was with the Hawthorns club at the start of the 2010/11 season, however on 24th July 2010 he played a pre-season game for Aveley. In August 2010 he was playing for the Thurrock based club, however on 17th September he signed for FC Clacton. He required a knee operation late in November 2010, which he had and was playing for the Essex club in April 2011. On 27th July 2011 Margate announced they had signed him on a two-year contract, however on 12th December they stated he had been released. On 20th December 2011 he was playing for Maldon and Tiptree, however on 19th February 2012 he had left the club. In May 2012 he was working in USA as a soccer coach in New Jersey. In 2014 he took up the position of Regional Coaching Director for English Pro Soccer's Bulldogs Soccer Academy in New Jersey.

Stephen (Steve) Coles

Chunky midfield player signed in April 2002 from East Bergholt mainly as cover for the many midweek games. He was an American Footballer for Ipswich Cardinals. He played only two games in season 2002/03 while he was still at East Bergholt. He was still playing as a running back for the Ipswich Cardinals in April 2004. In 2005 he joined the Coventry Jets having played for the Great Britain Lions representative side. He became an offensive coach for the Team Ireland American Football squad in 2006. He was still with Coventry in in December 2007 and he won the Coaches Player of the Year winner and also saw him finish second in Player's Player voting. In early 2009 he went to Germany on a work assignment and joined Dusseldorf Panthers American Football club In May 2011 he was still there ready to start a new season stating it would be his first and last in the GFL.

Ayrton Coley

A quick wide player (b 29/08/91), he started off with Bishop’s Stortford in April 2009 before joining Waltham Abbey at the start of the 2011/12 season. He joined AFC at the start of the 2014/15 season, and on 19th September 2014 he signed a contract to stay with the club until the end of the 2015/16 season. On 10th January 2015 he went on a fifty-six day loan to Haverhill Rovers to get some game time. He was however recalled after twenty-eight days and played again for AFC on 7th February remaining to the end of the season. On 5th July 2015 the club announced his contract had been terminated by mutual consent as he left the club. In August 2015 he joined up with Canvey Island but only played a few times before in the last week of October 2015 signing for Cheshunt and was still with them in April 2016. At the start of the 2016/17 season he had joined AFC Hornchurch and was playing for them on 11th March 2017. On 15th March they announced he had been released by them and he then signed for Bowers and Pitsea. On 19th August 2017 he was playing for Haringey Borough, however during the first week of January 2018 he was back again with Waltham Abbey.

Dave Collins

A 27-year-old midfield player (b 8/05/83) when he signed on 10th September 2010 and made his debut the next day as a substitute at Heybridge Swifts. He started his career at Southend United then went to Cork City, before joining Redbridge and then Newport County. He went onto Concord Rangers from where AFC signed him, however on 9th November he was released by the club. Brentwood Town quickly snapped him up and on 13th November 2010 he was playing for them. On 2nd June 2011 Maldon and Tiptree announced they had signed him for the 2011/12 season, and he played against AFC on 6th December 2011. He remained with them until the end of the season but on 4th July 2012 they stated he had left the club. On 8th August 2012 he was named as a signing for 2012/13 at Thurrock FC, however on 14th September 2012 he joined Great Wakering Rovers. At the end of the 2012/13 season he won the Supporters Player Of The Year. He played his first game of the 2013/14 season for them on 27th August 2013 and was still there in April 2014 winning the Essex Senior League with them. He started the 2014/15 season with them but on 22nd September he had left, and two days later had joined Burnham Ramblers. On 1st July 2015 he was playing pre-season with Brentwood Town and in the league on 11th August 2015. He transferred to Tilbury on 11th September 2015.

Luca Collins

A young goalkeeper who joined the AFC Academy in 2016 and had previously been with both the Southend United and Ipswich Town Academies, he was on the bench for the first team on 15th October 2016. He made the bench once more in the 2016/17 season. He made the bench a further six times during 2017/18 and had it not been for a holiday he would have made his debut on Boxing Day 2017. Whist studying at AFC he trained with the Colchester Under 18's and 23's and played for them both during March 2018. He continued to play for both the AFC Under 18's and the club's reserve sides, however he eventually made his first team debut on 19th April 2018 and played the last three games of the 2017/18 season. He played for the Under 18's and in May 2018 won three trophies with them. He left the club during the summer of 2018 to join fellow Bostik North side Witham Town

Danny Cook

A young central defender who signed for AFC in November 2007, having earlier in the season been on the books of Potters Bar Town Reserves. He was on the bench on four occasions during the 2007/08 season and remained at the club in season 2008. He eventually made a first team appearance as a substitute at Romulus on 28th November 2008. On 13th January 2009 he left to join Stanway Rovers and was still there at the start of the 2009/10 season. At the beginning of the 2010/11 season he had returned to refereeing, something he had previously been involved in. In July he was still involved in refereeing and was on the line as an assistant in a pre-season AFC game. On 20th September 2015 he was in the middle at King's Marsh as AFC played a Ryman North fixture. On 19th November he was refereeing a game at Needham Market when the ball struck him on the neck and he was stretchered off.

Sam Corcoran

A midfielder (b 05/02/91) started his footballing career with Colchester United as a scholar in their Academy. He made the bench for a first team game on 31st Match 2009 and made a substitute appearance for them against Hereford United on 18th April 2009. In December 2009 he went on a two-month loan to Wealdstone (4 apps 1 gl). He remained with Colchester until May 2010 when he was released, however a change of manager saw him later in the month back with a one-year contract. On 11th March 2011 he went on loan to Lowestoft Town (5 apps) he was recalled on 5th April. On 28th April he was told he would be released at the end of the 2010/11 season (1 app). At the start of the 2011/12 season, 1st August 2011, he joined Chelmsford City where he stayed until being released on 2 February 2013 (35 apps) Within a fortnight he signed for Hayes & Yeading United where he made 13 appearances and scored two goals. He then played for Albany Creek Excelsior FC of the Australian Brisbane League, from where he returned in November 2013. On 31st January 2014 it was announced that he had been training with St Albans City for two months in a bid to regain fitness, and he signed for them on 3rd February 2014 but a broken foot meant his debut would have to wait until March. He stayed until the end of the 2015/6 season (32 apps 1 gl) At the start of the 2016/17 season he joined Hemel Hempstead Town (16 apps 2 gls) before in the last week of January 2017 having his contract cancelled. He then re-joined St Albans City on 7th February 2017, however on 9th March they released him. On 16th March he signed for AFC and made his debut two days later. He played until the end of the 2016/17 season and then left the club. On 4th July 2017 he was announced as a new signing by Royston Town.

Ricky Cornish

A left sided defender, (b 01/12/70) he started his football with Cambridge United in their youth set up and then joined Cornard United in season 1989/90. He left there and went to Bristol City before going to Norway and Melhus returning in October 1990 and played for Aldershot FC in November 1990. He then joined St Albans City (22 apps) but at the end of season 1991/92 was with Chelmsford City from where he joined Halstead Town. He was there from 1993/94 until the end of 1995/96. Sudbury Wanderers were his next club for a short while before going to Bury Town midway through the 1998/99 season. He started the 2000/01 season with AFC and he stayed until the following year when he left to join Diss Town staying nearly four years. In the middle of June 2005 he signed for Mildenhall Town and on 16th August was appointed assistant manager. He played for the ‘Recway’ club through 2005/06 but at the end of the season left. He returned to his former club Diss Town as a player at the start of the 2006/07 season. On the 1st November 2006 he was appointed assistant manager at the club. Towards the end of January 2007 he was reported to have left Diss and signed as a player for Yaxley in the UCL. On 6th March 2007 he was due to manage Diss for their game on 10th March. At the start of the 2007/08 season he was back at Diss, but on 22nd November 2007 he was reported as having been released by the club. In the middle of December 2007 he signed for Newmarket Town, but on 23rd January 2008 he had left for Essex Senior League side Burnham Ramblers. At the start of the 2008/09 he had re-joined Newmarket Town and won promotion with them. On 1st July 2009 he had re-signed for the Jockeys for season 2009/10. At the start of October 2009 he had transferred to Team Bury. At the start of the 2010/11 season he had joined Thetford Town but soon left and joined Lakenheath. He was still with them when they played in the Suffolk Senior Cup Final in April 2011. In season 2011/12 he was still them in March 2012 and played until the end of the season. On 5th July 2012 Newmarket Town announced that he had signed for them again for the 2012/13 season and gained promotion with them at the end of it. On 5th July 2013 Mildenhall Town became his club again, this time as player coach. He left The Recway club in the last week of August 2014 and returned to Lakenheath FC. He was still playing for them on 9th May 2015 when he won a Suffolk Senior Cup Winners medal. On 28th July 2015 he had left Lakenheath and played a part in a pre-season game for Long Melford.He signed for them and made his league debut on 18th August 2015. It was to be his only appearance as he left and returned to Lakenheath with Melford retaining his Thurlow Nunn registration. He coached the ITFC EJA Under 16 side that played at AFC for the 2016/17 season. He played for Newmarket Town on 26th July 2016 against AFC in a testimonial game for Paul Betson. He continued with Lakenheath at the start of the 2017/18 season, however on 11th July 2017 he played for AFC Development side and scored a goal. On 1st September he announced he had left Lakenheath and would play for the AFC Development and Reserve sides to add his experience to them. He returned to Lakenheath and on 11th May 2018 they announced he had left them again. On 18th June Diss Town announced he had rejoined Diss Town for the 2018/19 season.

Ian Cousins

He started his football career at Tottenham Hotspur in their youth system. Burnham Ramblers were his club before in the summer of 2000 he signed for Chelmsford City. He remained with them before at the start of the 2003/04 season joining Welling United. In February 2005 he was playing for Chelmsford City. 2005/06 saw him with Heybridge Swifts but in December 2007 he was with Braintree Town. In September 2008 he was back with Chelmsford City, but in May 2009 he joined Billericay Town and was still there in April 2011. In June 2011 he moved to Maldon and Tiptree United. He signed for AFC on 10th August 2012 but was released on 25rd September 2012.

Chris Cowan

A youngster who played for the Reserves in 2005/06 and was named as a substitute for the first team in the middle of October 2006 but he did not get on the pitch. He made his debut as a substitute at Aveley on 11th November 2007. His first senior start was away at Staines Town in the Ryman League Cup on 5th December 2006. He signed again for the club in 2007/08, but on 15th November 2007 he signed for Wivenhoe Town. On 6th February 2008 he joined Hadleigh United on loan until 4th April, however on 26th March he was recalled to Wivenhoe. On 2nd June 2008 he was released from his contract with the Essex club. In August 2008 he was playing for Hadleigh United again and was still there in early March 2009. He stayed with the Millfield club at the start of the 2009/10 season. He was still there playing for their reserve side in August 2010, however on 11th September he was announced as a new signing for Stoke-by-Nayland. On 1st October 2011 Hadleigh stated he had joined Long Melford, he received a nasty injury early on and did not play again until April 2011. In October 2011 he was again playing for Stoke-by-Nayland and was still there in May 2012. He returned to them again and was still there in October 2012 and played throughout the 2012/13 season. In September 2013 he had joined Bramford United but a few months later suffered a cruciate knee ligament injury that stopped him playing. He played in the last game of the 2013/14 season and the returned for pre-season 2014/15 and was still playing for them in March 2015. The 2015/16 season saw him back at Bramford and was still there in January 2016. He was still with the club in 2016/17 and played for them on 22nd October 2016 and remainec until the end of the seadon. He continued in season 2017/18 and played for them on 2nd September 2017.

Dave Cowley

A wide player (b 2/11/87), he started his career in July 2004 in the West Ham United youth set up before joining Southend United in June 2006. He then had a spell in the USA before joining the Glenn Hoddle Academy in Spain in 2008 where he eventually signed for Spanish club Industrial in the Spanish Fourth Division in July 2009. In January 2010 Recreativo de Huelva signed him before in August 2010 he signed for Harlow Town and won The Player of the Year award for season 2010/11. He signed for Grays Athletic in August 2011 having turned down a chance to go to Blue Square Bet Premier side Braintree Town and also in July 2011 he was offered a contract with Conference South outfit Hampton & Richmond Borough. He returned to Harlow in February 2012 and stayed until the end of the 2011/12 season. He signed for AFC on 10th July 2012 and played throughout the 2012/13 season and won the Supporters Player Of The Year Award. He returned to the club at the start of the 2013/14 season and on 19th November 2013 signed a contract extension until the end of the 2014/15 season. On 14th February 2014 he was sold to Needham Market and was with them when they were in the play-offs but could not play due to suspension. On 26th July 2014 he had re-joined and played for Harlow Town where he became Captain for the 2014/15 season and won the Supporters Player Of the Season Award at the end of it. On 1st July 2015 he had signed to play for them again in the 2015/16 season and indeed started the season wit them, however on 20th August he had left and signed for Thurrock FC. He was still with 'The Rocks' in April 2016. He started the 2016/17 season with the Ship Lane club but on 21st August announced that he had left them. On 25th August 2016 he re-signed for AFC and played on 27th, he was on the bench on 29th and cup-tied for a game on 3rd September. On 5th September he had asked to leave and had gone. On 9th September Cheshunt announced that he had signed for them, but he only stayed until 28th October 2016 when he re-joined Thurrock. He remained with them winning promotion via the play-offs at the end of the season. On 11th May 2017 he announced he had left the club. On 31st May 2017 he signed once again for AFC on a one-year contract. On 17th June he was selected as member of the Ryman North Team of the Year. He played from the start of the 2017/18 season, however with the club under new management he was released from his contract on 6th October 2017. On 14th October he made his debut for Stowmarket Town. On 6th March 2018 his Isthmian League registration was taken up by Ware. On 15th March he announced he had left Stowmarket Town and the next day indeed played for Ware.

Greg Crane

A central defender (b 25/09/84) he started his career with Norwich City in their youth and reserve sides leaving the Canaries in January 2004. He had trials with a number of Football League clubs including Boston United before joining Lowestoft Town in March 2004. He remained with ‘The Trawlerboys’ until the start of the 2006/07 season when he signed for King’s Lynn and won the Southern League title with them. He was with ‘The Linnets’ until June 2009. He returned to Lowestoft Town at the start of the 2009/10 season and helped them win the Ryman North title and then onto the Ryman Premier League where they reached the play-offs in two consecutive seasons. He was released by Lowestoft in the first week of October 2013 and signed for AFC on 8th October making his debut the same day. He played until March 2014 and then left. On 9th July 2014 Norwich United announced he had signed for then for the 2014/15 season. He won a Championship medal with them after winning the Thurlow Nunn Premier League in April 2015. He also won the League Cup later in May 2015 with 'the Planters'. He was still with them on 2nd September 2015. In 2016 he was working in the Norwich City Academy as their Youth Development Phase Coach. February 2018 he was Lead Under 16's Coach at Norwich.

Stuart Crawford

A left footed defender who was a YTS player at Lincoln City, joined at the start of season 2002/03, played only a few games before leaving to go to Hadleigh United. At the start of season 2003/04 he joined Long Melford and played in the Suffolk Senior Cup Final of that season. In September 2004 he left Long Melford joining Needham Market. At the start of the 2005/06 season he was signed by Cornard United, but before he played a league game was rumoured to be transferring to Felixstowe and Walton United, but then signed for Walsham-le-Willows. He stayed with Walsham through the 2005/06 season but at the start of the 2006/07 campaign he was with Whitton United as their captain. In February 2007 he was rumoured to have stopped playing football, however at the start of the 2007/08 season he was back at Whitton. In November 2007 he had a knee operation that had prevented him playing for the rest of the season. On 4th July 2008 he had signed for Hadleigh United again and played throughout the 2008/09 season. He remained with the Millfield club at the start of the 2009/10 season, but received a cruciate knee injury and in November 2009 announced he had retired from football due to it. On May 14th 2010 he was named as the manager of Hadleigh United, a position he was still in on 20th August 2011. He remained in post in June 2012 and stayed throughout the 2012/13 season. The Millfield club remained under his management at the start of the 2013/14 season and he was still there in January 2014. He led the club to the Thurlow Nunn Premier League title in May 2014. He remained with them in season 2014/15, but resigned on 1st January 2015. On 27th August 2015 he had joined the management team at Walsham le Willows and remained there throughout the the 2015/16 season. He was in the same position when the club played AFC on 18th October 2016.

James Crisell

A young reserve team player, he played for the Colne Academy and appeared as a substitute in a first team pre-season fixture at the start of the 2013/14 season. He played with the club’s reserves side from August 2013 and he made his first team competitive debut as a substitute in the last minute of a Ryman League Cup tie in December 2013. He played for the Suffolk FA Under 18′s during 2013/14. He decided to leave at the start of the 2014/15 season signing a contract with Needham Market. On 24th October 2014 he went on a months loan to Whitton United, that on 17th November was extended. He returned to Needham in the middle of February 2015 and then went to play for Stanway Rovers. At the start of the 2015/16 season he had signed permanently for Whitton United and he was still there in December 2015. In January 2016 he had left and signed for Brantham Athletic and he was still with them in the 2016/17 season, 16th August 2016. On 12th August 2017 he was playing for Debenham LC, he however finished the season in May 2018 with FC Clacton.

Will Crisell

A defender (b 13/03/99), he started his football career at Colchester United before joining the Needham Market Academy. During the 2016/17 season he was captain of the Suffolk Under 18's side. He progressed to the Needham first team playing Ryman premier football. At the start of the 2017/18 season he joined Brantham Athletic on a season long loan before joining AFC on 19th October 2017. He broke his wrist in his second game for the club. After failing to secure a regular place at the start of the 2018/19 season he left the club on 22nd September 2018 to sign for Brantham Athletic where he remains for the 2019/20 season.

Danny Crow

A striker (b 26/01/86) he started his footballing career in the youth academy of Norwich City. Having joined as an 8 year-old, at 15 he won the prestigious Northern Ireland Milk Cup with the ‘Canaries’. He won the Academy Player of the Year award for 2003/4 and was offered a profession contract with the club. He made his first team debut in December 2004 as a substitute away at Middlesbrough. In February 2005 he was loaned to Northampton Town (10 apps 4 gls). He was release by Norwich in May 2015 (4 apps 0 gls). In July 2005 he signed a two-year contract with Peterborough United and was their leading goal scorer in 2005/06. In season 2006/07 he continued with ‘The Posh’ and played in the majority of games although not being as prolific. The 2007/08 season saw him in October 2007 join Notts County on a months loan but broke a toe in the first game and went back to Peterborough. He re-joined County in February 2008 and stayed until the end of the season (14 apps 2 gls). Peterborough terminated his contract on 1st September 2008 (77 apps 23 gls). On 11th September he signed for Cambridge United on a contract until May 2010. During the 2008/09 season he played at Wembley in the Play-Off Final. In 2009/10 he was their Player of the Year and top scorer. (61 apps 22 gls). On 21st May 2010 he signed for Luton Town in the Conference and he was the Conference Premier Player of the Month in October 2010. He played throughout the 2010/11 season and the 2011/12 season although he suffered a number of injuries during this time. He was released by ‘The Hatters” in May 2012 (66 apps 17 gls). At the start of season 2012/13, in June 2012 he joined Newport County on a one-year contract. He helped them to win the Conference Play Off Final at Wembley and promotion back to the Football League. He remained with the Welsh club in season 2013/14 and the 2014/15 season but was released on 15th January 2015 (54 apps 6 gls). The same day he joined Lowestoft Town. He played for ‘The Trawlerboys" and also coached the club’s Conference Youth Alliance team during the 2015/16 season. He did not start the season with Lowestoft and they terminated his contract (22 apps 4 gls). On 10th January 2017 he signed for AFC and made his debut as a substitute the same evening. He played until the end of the season as AFC were relegated and then left the club. At the end of July 2017 he played two pre-season games for Mildenhall Town and after a long injury was in the squad again in February 2018.

Danny Cunningham

An eighteen-year-old midfielder signed from Bury Town on 13th November 2006 on a contract until the end of the 2007/08 season, this was after the club were found to have made an illegal approach for him. He played for West Suffolk College and all the Bury teams before joining AFC and had trials in 2006 with both Morecambe and Mansfield Town. He continued at AFC in the 2007/08 season, however on 21st November 2007 he was loaned to Leiston in the Ridgeons Premier League. On 17th December 2007 he was sold to Leiston for an undisclosed fee. He remained with the Victory Road club at the start of the 2008/09 season. On 30th October 2008 Ipswich Magistrates remanded him in custody after pleading guilty to a drugs possession charge. At Ipswich Crown Court on 28th November 2008 he was given a two-year sentence at a young offender’s institute. On 4th June Leiston announced that they would be re-signing him for the 2009/10 season when released from his sentence. He played again for the Victory Road club in July 2009, and on 1st September signed a two-year contract with the club. He was still with the Victory Road club at the start of the 2010/11 season, and playing for them still in April 2011. On 18th May 2011 Bury Town announced that he had returned to play for them for the 2011/12 season. He played throughout the season, but on 31st May 2012 Lowestoft Town announced he had signed a two-year deal with them. He was still with them in July 2013 when they played at AFC, however on 20th September he re-joined Leiston. On 30th October he had left and signed for Hadleigh United and also Bury Town, he however never played for the Millfield side and went onto play for the Ram Meadow side. On 3rd March 2014 he also turned out for Grundisburgh. He won the Suffolk Premier Cup with Bury at the end April 2014. Needham Market announced on 19th June 2014 that he had signed for them for the 2014/15 season. He played for them but on 22nd November 2014 he returned yet again to Leiston. At the start of the 2015/16 season 8th August 2015, he was still playing for the Victory Road club and still there in December 2015. On 11th March 2016 he re-signed for AFC from Leiston and at the end of the season won a Championship medal. He returned for pre-season in July 2016 and played until 6th August when he had accepted an offer somewhere else for the 2016/17 season. Stowmarket Town announced on 9th August 2016 that he had signed for them and he remained there throughout the season as the club won promotion. On 25th May 2017 he signed another one-year contract with the Greens Meadow club. He started the season with them but in the middle of October he had left the club and apparently joined Ransomes FC. On 4th November 2017 he was playing for Coggeshall Town and he stayed with them until May 2018 winning the League Championship and promotion with them. On 27th May 2018 they announced he would be returning for the 2018/19 season.

Billy Cursons

A seventeen-year-old (b 25/12/96) full back, he signed on 24th February 2014 from Stanway Rovers. A former Ipswich Town academy player, he represented them the Milk Cup and also captained them twice in the academy showcase game against Manchester United at Portman Road. He had Captained Essex FA at U16′s in season 2012/13 and had featured in season 2013/14 for Essex U18′s. He made his first team debut as substitute at Ware on 17th April 2014. At the end of the season he won the Reserve Player of the Year award. He returned at the start of the 2014/15 season but left soon afterwards to play for Brightlingsea Regent mainly for their Under 18's. On 25th July 2015 he had signed and played for Coggeshall Town. On 26th September he was playing for Halstead Town Reserves. On 3rd February 2018 he was playing for Stanway Athletic.

Liam Cutts

A 20-year-old goalkeeper signed from Haverhill Rovers in February 2009, he had previously started his career with Hundon and then Long Melford and Cambridge City before joining AFC. He made his debut away to Aylesbury United on 1st April 2009, keeping a clean sheet. He signed once again for the club in season 2009/10, however at the start of October 2009 he re-signed for Hundon. At the start of the 2010/11/season he had re-joined Haverhill Rovers and was with them again at the start of 2011/12. On 8th October 2011 he was playing for Lakenheath FC. Haverhill Sports Association on 19th June 2012 stated he had signed for them for the 2012/13 season. He also played for Haverhill’s first team on 4th August 2012. On 16th June 2013 he had re-joined what was now Haverhill Borough FC and played throughout the season. On 9th August 2014 he was still with the New Croft based club. but went onto play for Hundon again. Season 2105/16 saw him play thirty-one games for the same club. In November 2016 he was playing once again for Hundon. He was still with them on 2nd September 2017.

Tom Cutts

A 6′ 4″ central defender (b 15/01/92) signed on 30th November 2012 from Wivenhoe Town where he was first team captain. He had been with ‘The Dragons’ since the age of seventeen and played in their under 18′s side prior to playing in the first team. He became first team captain and played 112 times for them scoring six goals before joining AFC and making his debut on 1st December 2012. He played throughout the remainder of the 2012/13 season and returned at the start of the 2013/14 season. On 19th August he became dual registered with Diss Town in order to get more game time, however on 20th September 2013 he had moved to Milton Keynes. On 23rd September he signed for Aylesbury FC where he played until March 2014 when he suffered a cruciate knee injury that would require an operation and would keep him out of football for twelve months. The operation was carried out in the first week of May 2014. He continued his recuperation into 2015 and would be able to tackle again in April 2015, this having moved back to Colchester at the start of March 2015. He completed a number of 10km runs in his fitness campaign. On 6th August 2016 he had signed and played for Brantham Athletic, soon after he dislocated his shoulder and had to stop playing. He however continued running and did the Birmingham half-marathon on 16th October 2016. On 3rd February 2017 he was due to have an operation on his shoulder that had a detached ligament. He had the operation and retired from football but continued with running.
