Stowmarket were very stubborn and defended well but 22 minutes in AFC doubled their lead with another Beevis goal from a well worked corner from Dunlop and Walker as Beevis volleyed home from short range, three minutes were left of the first half and Sudbury carried on probing with some great work from Colclough from the right hand side met opposite fall back Walker to head back across goal for Dunlop to score. One minute later Joe Wright found himself on the edge of the box and unleashed a shot from 25 yards to get his first goal for the yellows!
The second half got underway and AFC left off where they started and goal number five came with a powerful long range drive from Beevis to get his hat-trick, some more good work from Colclough and Peters down the right hand side met Watson at the back stick to head in Sudbury's sixth of the night. AFC carried on keeping the ball and looked like scoring again, after some good work from the midfield four a corner was awarded, Dunlop delivered and French headed accurately into the bottom corner to get his name on the score sheet (7-0). Sudbury's final goal came through a flick over Stowmarket's defence from Dunlop into Beevis who took the ball round the keeper to get his fourth of the night and Sudbury's eighth to seal off a professional job in the FA Youth Cup.
