AFC enter the FA Cup at the First Round Qualifying stage with a local derby tie, when they take on Essex neighbours Halstead Town who make the eight mile trip to The Wardale Williams Stadium.
The tie is being sponsored by Scott Parnell Ltd, their head office is in Witham and they have a large centre In Milton Keynes. They are distributors of a huge range of specialist building materials for the civil engineering industry including all types of drainage materials and equipment, hard landscaping supplies including block paving and street furniture. Also in conjunction with the rail industry; they have supplied materials and equipment for many projects including the huge London Cross Rail contract.
Thurlow Nunn First Division side Halstead have already played two FA Cup games this season, beating Thurlow Nunn Premier League side Newmarket Town 2-1 and also Ryman North side Thurrock 3-2 away from home. They come to KIng's Marsh unbeaten so far this season, winning six times and drawing twice.
AFC Sudbury Manager Jamie Godbold has no injury worries after Monday's 2-2 draw away at Lowestoft Town and includes youngsters Tyler French and Stefano Mallardo both who played for the Reserves on Friday evening. Also in the squad are Sam Bantick who netter four times for the Under 21 Development side against Thamesmead Town, and Jordan Blackwell who also played in the fixture.
Should a replay be necessary then it will be at The Milbank Stadium, Rosemary Lane Halstead on Tuesday 6th September, with a 7.45pm kick off.
