The Alan Turvey Trophy sponsored by Robert Dyas, in other words the Ryman League Cup starts with AFC at home to Lowestoft Town in a First Round tie.
The North Suffolk side held AFC to a 2-2 draw recently on Bank Holiday Monday in the Ryman Premier League with Craig Parker and Rob Eagle (pictured) scoring the AFC goals.
Parker will miss the game with the ankle injury he picked up in Saturday's home defeat against Tonbridge Angels, and also absent from the tie will be Luke Callander who went off with a hamstring injury in the same game.
Manager Jamie Godbold will however be able to use both of his new men, Ryan Auger and Anthony Furlonge, signed on dual registration from Bishop's Stortford. Auger having recovered from the dead leg he received on Saturday. Also in the squad are defenders Tyler French and Stefano Mallardo, both played in the Reserve game at Downham Town that ended 0-0 on Saturday.
The game will be played to a finish on the night and if the scores are level after ninety minutes then it's straight to penalties.
The winners will be away to the winners of the Waltham Abbey v Harlow Town tie.
