AFC suffered another defeat this time at the hands of Witham Town who duly completed a double over the home side having won convincingly at their ground in December.
The Essex side took the lead midway through the first half when Lewis Payne cured a shot home from the edge of the area giving Paul Walker in the home goal no chance. There was no more scoring in the first half as both sides cancelled each other out.
Nine minutes into the second period AFC drew level when Phil Kelly did well as he cut through the visitors defence and fired a low shot into the corner of the Witham net.
The scores were only level for two minutes as Payne took advantage from close range to get Witham annd his second goal of the evening.
AFC failed to produce any more real chances and subsequent slip down a place in the Bostik North table overtaken by the visitors.
