AFC make another trip to Essex and just a couple of miles short of where they were successful on Tuesday as they visit Scraley Road and the Swifts of Heybridge.
The hosts managed by Jody Brown are now playing catch up after great success in the FA Cup an FA Trophy and should they win their many games in hand will challenge around the play-off spots.
Included in the Swifts squad over the season have been as many as six ex-AFC players. Sam Bantick has departed, while Jack Cawley is away, but Luke Callander has returned after injury while Ryan Henshaw is there along with Ben Griffiths.
AFC Manager Mark Morsley and the club’s followers are beginning to see some light at the end of tunnel with some far more settled performances from the new squad of assembled players.
Striker Phil Kelly has started his goalscoring chart at AFC as he netted the winner at Maldon on Tuesday, while his striking partner Mekhi McKenzie is in good form.
Returning in goal will be Paul Walker (pictured) who has missed the last nine games due to a broken finger. His deputy for eight of those matches Jake Jessup has been an impressive figure between the posts and he will now return to his parent Chelmsford City.
The supporters minibus leaves the ground at 1.15pm.
