AFC make the short trip to West Suffolk neighbours Mildenhall Town for their Boxing Day fixture looking to bring an end to a seven match run without a victory. There have been two draws in those seven games and Manager Mark Morsley will be looking for far better performances from his players this time around.
There will be another debutant in the AFC goal as Paul Walker is out of action with a broken finger. Curtis Child took the number one shirt on Saturday on his return from University, but Jake Jessup has been signed on a month's loan from Chelmsford City to take the shirt this time around. He will become the 34th goalkeeper to don the jersey since the club was formed in 1999.
It seems likely that there will be changes to the starting line-up as the management team seek to find a winning formula or at least one that will not have some poor fifteen minutes periods in games that have proved costly recently.
Mildenhall Town for their part will have ex-AFC goalkeeper Dean Greygoose at the helm and have at least three ex-Sudbury players on the pitch in Jack Wilkinson, Gareth Simpson and Jacob Brown. The "Recway' side currently sit in one place below and one point behind AFC in the Bostik North table.
The game kicks off at 1.00pm.
