t was certainly a game of two halfs as AFC clung on to the lead to take the three points at the end of ninety minutes.
Four goals up at the interval Sudbury appeared to have the game in the bag, but the Essex visitors were not going away without a fight and they clawed back three goals.
In the end AFC took the spoils and on their first half display just about deserved them. Max Booth started the goalscoring with a great goal after a tremendous pass from Tyler French. Reece Dobson got the second after a good passing movement firing home giving Chafer no chance.
Two further goals in the final twelve minutes of the half both scored with aplomb by Ben Hunter (pictured) looked to have sealed things.
No doubt some harsh words were spoken in the away dressing room as the fourth in the table team pressurised AFC for the next forty-five minutes plus.
A penalty scored by Knight after fifty minutes and another from Sartain twelve minutes later had the home team and crowd on edge. When Knight got a third with nearly twenty minutes left it seemed Bowers would get something from the game.
AFC however found enough strength and resilience to hold on for all the points and to climb two further places up the table to twelfth place.
