AFC slipped to a solitary goal defeat at the hands of Soham in a game that never reached any great heights.
AFC had plenty of the ball in the first half but rarely troubled Pope in the visitor’s goal. The one occasion was from Max Booth and the Soham keeper got down well to deny him.
Soham had four players booked three for dissent as the half ended scoreless.
The only goal of the game came after sixty-five minutes when Soham broke away Carden shot and Paul Walker saved but the ball came back out to Craig Gillies who slotted home.
Try as they might and near the end a couple of efforts were blocked the home side could not find the net and the three points went away with the visitors.
