AFC take on fellow Suffolk side Mildenhall Town in the first of two meetings within five days when they entertain them on Bank Holiday Monday at The Wardale Williams Stadium in a Bostik North league fixture.
AFC will be looking to register their first league victory of the season in this game, their opponents did so on Saturday when they defeated Ware 1-0.
Mildenhall are in their first season at Step 4 of the Non-League Pyramid for the first time in their history having won the Thurlow Nunn Premier Division last season. They are managed by ex-AFC goalkeeper Dean Greygoose and have a number of former Sudbury men in their ranks, Danny Crow, Jacob Brown and Gareth Simpson.
Sudbury Manager Jamie Godbold will be able to select central defender Julian Smith who was sent off on Saturday, his suspension not starting until next week. He will be hopeful that Captain Sam Clarke can play some part in the game after completing around fifteen minutes on Saturday as he recovers from his calf strain.
