New Year's Eve sees early afternoon football at the Wardale Williams Stadium when Canvey Island are the visitors for a 1.00pm kick off. The game is kindly being sponsored by local company Phillips Engineering Limited.
The Islanders have not had the greatest season so far and are one place off the bottom of the Ryman Premier League table with twenty-one points from their twenty-three games played. Their last game on Boxing Day saw them lose 2-1 at home to Billericay Town.
Canvey Manager Danny Heale has boosted his squad ahead of the game by bringing in two players from National League clubs. Joining on loan from Dover Athletic is central defender Jahmal Howlett-Mundle, while arriving on a dual registration from Chelmsford City is midfielder Frankie Merrifield.
AFC Manager Jamie Godbold will have his full squad available for selection, including Ryan Henshaw (pictured) who was end off on Monday at Needham Market, his one match suspension will see him miss the Lowestoft Town game next Monday.
The Sudbury boss will be looking for some more goals from his players as they look to bolster their goal difference that at the moment is only plus one.
