AFC will welcome to The Wardale Williams Stadium Metropolitan Police who will be making their first ever league visit to the club. They did play AFC in a Ryman League Cup tie back in November 2006 when AFC won 2-1, the goals being scored by John Pollard and Luke Hammond.
The Surrey based outfit are currently in twenty-first place in the Ryman Premier League table five places below AFC in sixteenth. Their points total of twenty-seven is only three off that of Sudbury's.
On Saturday they went to Tonbridge Angels and were leading the Kent club but ended up losing 2-1. Manager of the Police side is Jim Cooper and this week he will complete thirteen years in charge of the Imber Court club, so well done on that achievement.
AFC Manager Jamie Godbold will go into the match being able to recall his two suspended players in defender Ryan Henshaw and midfield man and Captain Sam Clarke. They will be much needed as the squad will still be missing three injured players in Jordan Blackwell, Erkan Okay and Alfie Carroll, while Luke Callander has left for pastures new.
On the goalscoring front James Baker will be looking for the four goals that will take him to his century, while Craig Parker need five more to reach his half-century. Both Tyler French and Aidan Austin will be trying to notch their first goals for the club.
