Halesowen Town v AFC Sudbury
Southern League Premier Central Division
The Grove, Old Hawne Lane, Halesowen, West Midlands B63 3TB
KO: 15.00

This Saturday we head back to the West Midlands for our final game and final away game of the season against Halesowen Town.

Earlier this season, The Yeltz played their part in that 5-5 draw in front of 325 of us at The Elite Travel Stadium… the day we all thought Liam Pearce's 95th minute goal to make it 5-4 would be enough to bag all three points! But three minutes later Ty Barnett secured an away point for the visitors.

Goal scorers for the Suds that day were Callum Page (2), Fin Corrigan, Kien Connolly and our Supporters Player of the Year Liam Pearce.

Halesowen Town can still earn a play-off place IF they get all three points on Saturday and other results go their way. Their form over the last six games has seen three wins, two defeats and a draw. That puts them on 67 points in 6th place. Above them are Needham Market (4th; 70pts) and Kettering Town (5th: 69pts). Redditch United, in 7th, are also on 67 points and mathematically in with a chance too. I will just add that The Yeltz have a better goal difference than our Suffolk neighbours (as things stand). It’s going to be quite a day!

The average attendance at the Grove this season is about 1300, but expect a bigger than average crowd on Saturday as its such an important game for them.

And we'll do our bit. The coach is pretty much full for this one and, as its the final away game, fancy dress is the order of the day!

Come on you Yellows!
