Quorn v AFC Sudbury
Southern League Premier Central Division
Quorn Football Club, Farley Way, Quorn, LE12 8RB.
KO: 15.00
It's back up to Leicestershire on Good Friday for our second trip to the county in two weeks and our second ever visit to Quorn. The first came back in season 2004/05 when The Suds defeated The Reds 3-2 in the 4th Round of the FA Vase.
The Methodists, as they are also known, are aiming for the play-offs and currently sit in 6th place on 61 points, the same as Kettering Town who currently occupy the last play-off place. Their last six league games have resulted in 3 wins, 2 draws and 1 defeat; that came at the hands of the aforementioned Kettering Town who are on fire at the moment. In amongst those league games, Quorn were also victorious over county rivals Barwell in a semi-final of the Leicester and Rutland Cup.
Our form has improved with that win over Barwell a couple of weeks ago. Not only did we prove victorious, but we came back from being behind TWICE to then win by a two-goal margin. Last weekend we competed for the full 90+ minutes, but lost out by a single goal to a physically strong Alvechurch.
There are a decent number of seats already booked on the coach for this one, so we can make plenty of noise and get behind the boys as we begin a busy Easter weekend of football.
Updates from the game on social media and from Isaac on AFC Sudbury LIVE!
Come on you Yellows!
