AFC Sudbury v Stamford
Southern League Premier Central Division
The Elite Travel Stadium, Brundon Lane, Sudbury CO10 7HN
KO: 15.00
Stamford are the visitors to the Elite Travel Stadium this weekend. Like us, they find themselves in the relegation zone, so this is another one of those 6-pointers.
In the reverse fixture back in January, goals from Marcel Lewis and Callum Page gave us a 2-1 lead during the second half. However, a spirited fightback from The Daniels saw them edge the game 3-2. Since that game they have won 2, lost 2 and drawn 2 in the League.
Recent results for us haven't reflected the effort and desire shown on the pitch. A repeat of the first hour from last weekend, over the full 90 minutes, and we will have added 3 points to our tally and closed the gap on Stamford, the three teams above them on 32 points – the current safety margin – and given ourselves a fighting chance.
Come on you Yellows!
