AFC Sudbury v Spalding United
Southern League Premier Central
The Elite Travel Stadium, Brundon Lane, Sudbury CO10 7HN
KO: 3pm.
Current table-toppers Spalding United arrive at the Elite Travel Stadium looking to get their promotion bid back on-track following a draw and defeat in their last two games.
Last season we took 4 points from our games with the Tulips. A fantastic Callum Page performance the springboard for a 3-0 away win, meanwhile we shared the points in a 0-0 draw at home.
Earlier this season we took the lead at the Sir Halley Stewart Field through a Kai Fletcher strike, but our injury curse struck again, forcing our goalscorer off the pitch as we eventually fell to a 5-1 defeat.
On Tuesday night, in abysmal conditions, we gave our Suffolk rivals Needham Market a real game. If that Jacob Goredema shot has gone in off the post at 2-2 then… well, who knows? That game demonstrated that we can compete and surely our first points of 2026 are not too far away.
Come on you Yellows!
