Ryman North Champions AFC Sudbury take to the road for the final time this momentous season when they make their first ever visit to Phoenix Sports.
AFC will be looking to keep intact their superb 2015/16 season of only one defeat away from home all season, this being the 5-1 thrashing at Thurrock last October.
Phoenix have acquitted themselves in their first season in Ryman football and currently are in fourteenth place with fifty-six points from forty-four games played.
AFC for their part sit top of the table and chasing the record total of points obtained in a forty-six game Ryman North season. The current record is held by neighbours Needham Market with 104 points, Sudbury have 102 with two games to be played, so it is there for the taking.
Sudbury Manager Jamie Godbold looks like having an almost fully fit squad for the game, with slight injury doubts about both Sam Clarke and Jack Wilkinson. Stefano Mallardo is suspended and young defender Tyler French is included in the travelling party.
Luke Callander will be trying his best to overtake Craig Parker in the AFC Golden Boot Award, Luke currently has twenty-four goals to his name while Craig's total stands at twenty-seven. So a Callander hat-trick would see them level going into the final game of the season!!!
The game will see a number of players make significant appearances for the club, James Baker will be on 250, Jordan Blackwell 100 and Liam Wales 50.
The AFC coach for the game is fully booked with many of the supporters appearing as is traditional for the final away game in fancy dress.
The departure time for the coach is 11.30am from The Wardale Williams Stadium.
Admission prices for the game are £8 and £5 for concession. There is no parking at the ground itself but there is at the school opposite.
The address of the Phoenix ground is Phoenix Sports Ground, Mayplace Road East, Barnehurst DA7 6JT
