With AFC winning 2-1 against Wroxham and the chasing Ryman teams also winning or drawing it now means that Sudbury need two points their remaining four games to achieve their season's objective.
Against Wroxham AFC took an early lead through Joe Maybanks, and increased it when substitute Jack Newman (pictured) netted the second.
In the second period the visitors pulled a goal back but AFC remained firm to win their penultimate home game of the season.
