This was another heavy defeat this time in the league following on from one in the League Cup four days earlier. In both games AFC have looked second best by a country mile.
Manager Godbold recalled Berquez, Blackwell and Callander to the starting line up and had Robbie Martin back on the substitutes bench.
The game will certainly not live long in the memory except for the fact that AFC played poorly and the visitors thoroughly deserved their victory.
Cray went in front in the twelfth minute McCollin crossed from the left and Bremner scored easily enough from close range.
Luke Callander headed wide from a move involving Sam Clarke and Ben Robinson. Clarke was making his 290th appearance for the club moving him up to sixth in the all time appearance list.
The visitors added to their tally when Dent won the ball following a defensive mistake, the Cray man went forward between the home defence and fired home.
Ten minutes later two became three when McCollin scored with AFC still not at the races. Bowles did well to keep the score down as he saved low down to deny Bremner and then he denied McCollin who had broken away diving at his feet and then saving again as the half ended.
Half time; - AFC Sudbury 0 Cray Wanderers 3
AFC made two changes at the break with Parker and Bailey replacing Berquez and Canfer in the midfield area.
Despite Callander having an early lobbed effort go over, the Kent side scored a fourth after only two minutes of the half. From a free-kick just outside the penalty area Basey stepped up and shot the ball deflecting off the AFC wall and into the net past the outstretched Bowles.
Cray very nearly added a fifth after a great pass from Basey to McCollin but Bowles again came to the rescue. AFC then had a purple patch scoring twice in three minutes both similar goals with Callander (pictured) getting them, both headed crosses, one from a Bailey corner the other from Robinson.
The goals caused the visitors to make some changes and AFC brought on Martin for his first appearance since re-signing, taking over from Robinson at right back.
Callander was booked for a foul and shortly afterwards there was the rare sight of a contested dropped ball. Cray substitute Ouani on the left hand side crossed and there was McCollin to shoot home their fifth goal.
Martin had his name taken this time for tripping, before Henshaw had a long range shot that flew over the Cray bar. Two minutes before the end of normal time the sixth goal went in Ouani once again crossing and this time Bremner scoring from close range.
So a second comprehensive defeat and things must improve quickly as the games come thick and fast at this time of the season
