The relegation six pointer ended in disappointment as we lost out to Kettering Town....again. Jack Cawley made his first appearance for the club, playing in front of Bradbrook in goal, with Lewis and Dickens either side of him. In midfield, we had Oluwatimilehin, Turner, Hunter, and Dunne, with Pinnington and Page playing either side Allen. On the bench we had Oteng, Tarpey, Bradley, Ololade and Bampoe.
The visitors started with three consecutive corners, with the last being cleared by Ben Hunter. On the quarter of an hour mark Kettering did take the lead though, as Micheal Reindorf dinked over Bradders. That was cue for ‘The Poppies’ to sit back and soak up pressure, forcing the Suds to try and find a hole in the back five. We went close a couple of times, Pagey headed just wide, 15 minutes before Ben forced the goalie into a good save.
Half-Time: AFC Sudbury 0-1 Kettering Town
We started the second half well, Rom forced the ‘keeper to make a very good low save, after hitting a shot from outside the penalty area. A minute later, Josh Allen made Doughty once again make a fantastic save from close range. However, after the good start, the match began to simmer rather than boil. Bradders made a really good save, catching at the second attempt. In the dying moments, substitute Afo hit a shot which was curling into the bottom corner, but it was an excellent save.

AFC Sudbury 0-1 Kettering Town
Well, disappointing, but we just have to keep going. This league is far from over, a lot of football to be played, a lot of points to be won. We’re going to need you at your loudest for these final matches, Yellows.
