AFC gained their second three points within four days as they overcome some stubborn resistance from their Norfolk visitors.
The home side had to make one change from the previous line-up Jordan Blackwell coming in for Jake Reed who was held up due to transport problems.
Wroxham had ex-AFC man Jamie Forshaw leading their attack, but it was Christy Finch who should have opened the scoring for them early on.
AFC had an early chance with Shinn and Swatman combining after a Flynn corner but it went begging. Lawrence Yiga adapting to his new role as a central defender looked shaky at times but settled down as they game went on. He was very positive with a great saving tackle on Forshaw as the visiting forward burst through.
Blackwell looked to have been upended in the penalty are but referee Dale up with play pointed only for an AFC corner. Ollie Hughes playing one of his last games before moving abroad was just wide with an effort a minute or so before the interval. Self for Wroxham found himself booked as a result of several fouls.
Half time: - AFC Sudbury 0 Wroxham 0
The second period saw AFC much more in control and certainly in the latter part of it looking likely to be the side to take the points.
It was however Wroxham who had the first chance when Forshaw forced Alex Archer to save low down.
The first change of the game came from AFC when Jack Guyton replaced Payton Swatman who left the field of play less than happy. Shortly afterwards Reed took over from Blackwell as AFC looked to use his experience.
Hughes had an effort at the visitors’ goals with ball cannoning back to Sam Clarke whose shot was cleared as AFC upped the pressure.
Shinn was rather harshly booked for a foul before Sudbury took the lead. A free-kick was deflected for a corner on the right that Lee Flynn took. The ball went into the box and there was Craig Pope (pictured) to head home on sixty-nine minutes.
Ryan Maxwell went off and young Josh Kerridge came on for his AFC debut.
Forshaw went off and Durrant replaced him, but it was Reed for AFC who showed some good skills to control the ball well to turn inside and force Pride in the Wroxham goal to save.
AFC finished the game having much more of the ball but unable to get any more goals, but in the end took all three points.
So two games gone and two victories to see AFC at the top of the table, long may it last.
