Not having played many games in the last few weeks, AFC entertained fellow Bostik North side Maldon and Tiptree.
Birthday boy Will Crisell (pictured) played in both forty-five minutes of this game one of three players that completed the whole ninety minutes as the visitors ran out 3-1 winners.
AFC started the first half with a strong line-up but also with youngster Ollie Gravett on the right side of midfield.
Maldon and Tiptree took the lead just before the half-hour mark when AFC lost the ball on their left side with ball being played in and put away from close range giving goalkeeper Paul Walker no chance.
AFC soon equalised. A free-kick on the edge of the area was blasted goalward and saved by the keep and onto the post, the ball coming out to Tom Dettmar who fired home.
The second half saw an almost new AFC side with as mentioned only four players remaining, with sixteen-year old Liam Bennett, along with other youngsters, Luca Collins, Adam Hanson, Isaac Skubich, Adam Dunnage and Panashe Mundawarara. They all put in good performances against experienced opponents.
Keeper Collins was called upon to make a couple of good save before being beaten twice to send the Essex side away victorious.
