In a entertaining game the two teams shared four goals and game both sets of supporters something to think sbout as the new season approaches.
Both side used triallist in the first half and AFC another in the second period as the managers look to find the right blend for their squads.
It was a mistake by AFC' s triallist that led to the university club going in front as he failed in his pass back and Michael King was left in the clear to score with the ball going in off the far post.
AFC were not behind for long as three minutes later the ball arrived at the feet of Teven Allen and he fired home the equaliser.
The home side then dominated the proceedings playing some neat passing football but they were to go in at the break a goal down. A CIty corner from the left evaded the defence and Ian Miller had the simplest of chances to sidefoot home.
AFC made changes at the start of the half with Allen and the triallist going off and Milo Grimes and Joe Claridge taking over. Julian Smith picked up a booking as he held back a visiting forward and then two saves by Callum Robinson (pictured) kept AFC in the game.
More changes came with Sam Clarke, Adam Mills and L heureux Menga going off and Ollie Peters, Callum Watson and Triallist B coming on.
City also made several substitutions and the game became slightly scrappy. However on 74 minutes AFC levelled with Alfie Carroll marauding down the right and crossing for Rhys Henry to score.
So it ended all square and another pleasing performance from the new look AFC side.
