AFC supporters had the chance to see David Batch's new signings for the first time this season at the Wardale Williams Stadium.
Thurlow Nunn League Champions provide the opposition and in the end AFC ran out 3-1 winners, with Jake Reed scoring in the first half to level the scores after Scott Chaplin scored and in the second period Jordan Blackwell netting a brace.
