It is with great sorrow and shock that I have to advise everyone at the club that Tony Simpson passed away yesterday following a heart attack on the way home from golf.
Tony will be greatly missed by everyone at the club and all those who knew him through football.
The family has insisted that tomorrows game against Harlow goes ahead.
On Tuesday night before the AFC Sudbury match against Braintree Town there will be a minutes applause before kick off as a show of our respect for this great clubman.
I am sure you all join me in offering our condolences to Tony’s family and you will help us support them in any way we can.
