AFC Sudbury have confirmed that Head Coach Tom Austin has decided to leave the club with immediate effect.
Austin, who was appointed as the club’s permanent Men's First Team Head Coach in November 2025 after initially stepping up from an interim role, departs today. Tommy spoke with the Club's CEO this morning and leaves in good faith wishing the club the best for the future, as we do likewise to him and his coaching career.
During his time in charge, Austin worked to rebuild the squad and guide the team through a demanding campaign in the Southern League. His tenure followed a period of change within the club’s management structure earlier in the season.
Everyone at AFC Sudbury would like to place on record their thanks to Tom for his hard work, professionalism and dedication to the club, and wish him every success in his future career.
The club will announce further details regarding the first team management structure in due course.
Assistant Coach Jamie Thomson will take charge of tomorrow's Southern League game away to Kettering Town.
