There's enough happening again now that we can start our weekly AFC round ups so without further ado let's crack on with the goodies.
Last week saw a superb Men's 1st team friendly win at Hashtag Utd, the Reserves falling to a last minute sucker punch against FC Peterborough at home in their opening Thurlow Nunn fixture of the season and our Women squeezed out late on in their latest pre season fixture, a seven goal thriller at home to Royston. What will this week have in store?
Tue 30th July
First up we have the small matter of Bury Town to face away in the Men's penultimate pre season fixture. A 7:45pm KO at Ram Meadow.
Sat 3rd Aug
It's a home double header with first the Men's 1st team facing National League South new boys Needham Market with a midday KO in their final pre season fixture.
and then..
Our Men's Ressies are at home in Thurlow Nunn action on Saturday as they face Gorleston Reserves with a 3pm KO
Sun 4th Aug
Our Women take part in their penultimate pre season fixture as they take on Bowers & Pitsea with a 2pm KO down here at the MEL Group Stadium.
So 4 very different fixtures to look forward to as the season really draws close for both our front line adult sides. I'd usually have said 'i'll see you at a game or 4' or something of that ilk but not now, instead i'm sunning myself and turning into a beach bum down in North Devon these days. Also i'm currently doing some media work for one of my new local clubs, Barnstaple Town and with that insight I now have highlights that you really should cherish all that AFC Sudbury are, the depth and breadth of a well run club, because I can assure you, to a large degree it's not like that elsewhere, not by a long way!
