The week ahead at AFC

The week ahead at AFC

Steve Screech2 Oct 2023 - 08:02

What not to miss

A 2nd weekend in a row where we are without a single adult success but it wasn't for the lack of trying but points were picked up during midweek.
Tuesday the Men picked up a point against Leiston and the Ressies managed a fine 3-2 win against Whitton and then on Thursday night the U18's came from 3 down away at Stanway Rovers to record a 4-3 victory, and this with a side full of U16's. Love that!
At the weekend the Women's 1st team didn't have a game afterall, the Men's 1st's contrived to let Stamford off the hook and lose 2-1 at home while the Ressies fell to a 5-2 defeat down the road at Cornard but there's no time to dwell on any of this now because we have a busy week ahead.

Tue 3rd
The Men's first team are at home to Ipswich Town in the Suffolk Premier Cup with a 7:45pm KO

Wed 4th
Girls Academy are at home to Barking Abbey with a 1:30pm KO

Sat 7th
Our Men's 1sts are on the road at Hendon in the F.A Trophy with a 3pm KO. There will be NO away travel to this one as the minibuses are unavailable and it's not far enough for the coach so if you want to attend contact steve.screech@afcsudbury.co.uk and we'll try and sort a car pool out

whilst

The Reserves are away also at Needham Market U23's with a 3pm KO

In the morning the U14 Blues take on Walsham at 10am
U16 JPL's take on Ipswich Town at mid-day

Sun 8th
The Women's 1st team are finally back at home again as they take on Haywards Heath with a 2pm KO

While earlier in the day

Our U16 Blues EJA take on Needham Market at 10am
Our U13 EJA's take on Wroxham at 11:30am

Plenty to be getting your teeth into then, plenty of opportunites to support many of our sides and turn those chances into victory dances!

See you out there Yellows!
