It is with great delight that our academy can confirm that Darren Scoulding has been promoted to the position of assistant academy manager. Darren has been with our Academy for a number of years now and has overseen the progression of many of our female players alongside Dave Cannon, Geoff Godwin & Theo Sims and has played a key role in ensuring that our academy is recognised on a national scale. Additionally, Darren has created a clear pathway for girls in our youth development phase and continues to drive this programme forward.

Since taking on the role of Academy manager two years ago I have worked extremely closely with Darren and I have benefited vastly from his experience and knowledge. I look forward to seeing Darren continue to play a key part in the development of our u13s to U19s male and female players as we continue to strive to provide the best possible experiences for players/students in our care”

Having initially come in to work in our Girls Academy setup, it has been really evident to me how the AFC Sudbury Academy is one big Academy covering all of our female & male players. I am delighted to take up this post and excited for the future as we strive to develop the next Reuben Swann & Ruby Sealey
