The Role
We are seeking a committed and motivated Head Coach to lead our senior men’s
squad. The successful candidate will have the passion, professionalism and
leadership qualities to deliver performances that reflect the club’s values and vision.
You will be responsible for all aspects of First Team football operations, including
player recruitment, matchday and training management, technical and tactical
preparation and the ongoing development of players within a positive high
performing culture.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and plan all aspects of First Team coaching operations
• Plan and deliver high-quality training sessions aligned with the club’s
philosophy
• Represent the club professionally in all external communications, in particular,
media interviews
• Work with the Men’s First Team General Manager to:
recruit, retain and develop players within a strict budget
foster a strong link between the First Team and the Academy
build team cohesion and monitor the wellbeing of individuals
uphold the club’s values, policies and safeguarding standards.
Person Specification
Essential:
• Proven experience in senior football management or coaching at Step 3 or 4
(Southern or Isthmian leagues) of the English Pyramid system
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a football management structure
• Commitment to player development and community engagement
• UEFA football coaching qualifications
Desirable:
• UEFA B licence
• Understanding of player pathways and integration of Academy players
• Familiarity with modern analysis and performance tools
• Experience of managing budgets
