One club

As we start another season at AFC Sudbury, the first team, reserves and U18's having already kicked off and the Women and Academy knee deep in pre season friendlies. Well we have a lot going on in our Youth section as well with new teams being formed as well as current teams evolving.
We've had a number of U11's and U12's come forward and we were trying to work out how we could make it work for everyone.

Step forward 2nd Year Academy student Thom Chance who has decided that's he's going to selflessly give some time to the AFC Youth setup and 'Give Back' some of that time and footballing knowledge spent on him.

Following in his footsteps, whilst he's been working on his dream to play football is his younger brother Logan. To date there hadn't been an opportunity for Logan to take part in his own team and thus Thom offered his services to take a new U11's side and give Logan, along with his new team mates, a chance to follow their dreams and start their AFC Sudbury journeys. Who know where these journeys can end up? We've had youth players ending up with University places in the USA and Josh Blunkell who played through our EJA system, signing for Wycombe Wanderers lately.

There's a couple of spaces left still in this new team and also the U12's too. If you would like to start your AFC Sudbury journey, set the dream alive, then please contact Kevin Pettet on 07813 941735 or email kevin_pettet@yahoo.co.uk

Also... if you are a budding coach or you are looking for somewhere to give back some time, just like Thom, then there are opportunities to coach at AFC. If that sounds good to you then please contact our Head of Youth - Andy Kelsey on 07702 476304 or email andrewkemsley@hotmail.com

The club continues to grow. Why not come and be a part of it.
