During his tenure, Andy has played a significant role in strengthening the club's operational standards, particularly in the area of health and safety, while also contributing a thoughtful and balanced approach to decision making.

Andy Message said, “I would like to express how much I have appreciated the opportunity to serve on the board of AFC Sudbury for the past 2 years.

We have had to make some difficult decisions in my time, but they have been essential to protect the long term future of the club.

Although not a board member, I will still be involved to support Health and Safety arrangements at the club, and remain a shareholder, volunteer and fan!

I would like to thank David Drain and Tony Tassell for their support embedding H&S in what we do, and the other board members for listening and acting on our recommendations and suggestions.

I wish the continuing board members every success in their stewardship of the club and am confident AFC Sudbury is in good hands to meet the long term needs of an organisation Sudbury can be proud of”.

Club Chairman Andy Harvison paid tribute to Andy's contribution:
