AFC Launch Girls Academy

I believe we are the only club in East Anglia that is offering this type of opportunity for girls between the ages of 16 to19. This is a very exciting time for us at AFC Sudbury, work is just about to start on our new 3G pitch together with the launch

AFC Sudbury are delighted to announce the launch of the AFC Sudbury Girls Football Academy.

This will give girls the opportunity to continue their education while developing as footballers under the guidance of some of the best coaches in East Anglia.

Entry to the Academy can be via a Scholars education programme with our partner School or as paid Apprentices working direct for the club.

The Girls Academy will be lead by Danny Laws, Director of Football at AFC Sudbury along with Jemel Fox the current AFC Ladies Head Coach and Kayleigh Steed.

The Academy is due to start in August 2015 and the club are now taking enquiries and applications via the online form available on the Girls Academy Section on this website.

AFC Sudbury Director, Richard Instance, commented on the launch of the new girls academy “I believe we are the only club in East Anglia that is offering this type of opportunity for girls between the ages of 16 to19. This is a very exciting time for us all at AFC Sudbury, work is just about to start on our new 3G pitch together with the launch of both the boys and girls academies the future of AFC Sudbury is looking very bright.”
