It’s been a busy few weeks at AFC Sudbury, with two new faces joining the squad. We caught up with Phil Weavers to get the lowdown on each signing.

Jorginho Gomes

“Jorginho had been training with us for a few weeks and looked really impressive. He’s accustomed to the level but is coming off the back of an injury and was looking to get back to where he was.

It was absolutely the right thing to do to bring him in and give him his opportunity. He’s shown glimpses of what he is capable of, for sure, and hopefully he can go from strength to strength.”

Reece Clairmont

“Reece is someone we’ve had on our radar since the summer. Naturally, a lot of these things are about timing, and the timing was right for both us and him to make this happen.

He’s 19 years old, left-footed, capable of playing anywhere on the left-hand side and has plenty of pedigree as a former Arsenal scholar. I’m really looking forward to getting him involved and seeing where things may lead.”

Jack Manly departs

We can also confirm that Jack Manly has left AFC Sudbury. We would like to thank Jack for all his efforts in a Suds shirt and wish him all the best for the future.
