Well it seems a long time since the 2017/18 season started and it still has another week to go, but Saturday sees the final away fixture for AFC in the Bostik North League.
Manager Mark Morsley takes his squad to Norfolk and visit Blofield to take on Norwich United.
The club, managed by former AFC assistant manager Steve Eastaugh, are fighting with Romford to avoid this season’s one relegation spot. They certainly did their chances no harm on Tuesday when they went away to Canvey Island and won 4-1. Romford currently occupy bottom spot and are two points behind, both sides have two games left to play.
Sudbury went to Bury Town onThursday evening and came away with a point in a 1-1 draw, with Phil Kelly getting the goal.
Morsley will continue with young goalkeeper Luca Collins, as Paul Walker remains injured, and his stand in did well on his debut at Bury.
There were a couple of other injuries picked up at Ram Meadow, but with plenty of players to select from others will get their chance to show their skills.
AFC complete their season next Saturday when Grays Athletic visit Sudbury.
