Ex-International footballer turned coach Stuart Pearce has forged a successful career for himself after his playing days came to an end. Most notably managing the GB London 2012 Olympic football team, Pearce was the manager of the England U21s for 6 years, as well as taking the reins at former clubs Nottingham Forest and Manchester City. An impressive playing résumé combined with his managerial successes has propelled Pearce into the world of event attending as an after dinner sports speaker, offering specialist insights as a football speaker.
Kicking off his playing career in 1978 with Wealdstone, Pearce retired from domestic duties with Manchester City in 2002; in between his playing years he represented England on 78 occasions and found the net 5 times. Enjoying his most prolific spells during his time at Nottingham Forest during the Brian Clough years, Pearce spent the majority of his 12 year spell at Forest as club captain. Stuart Pearce was instated as a coach in 2001, and was promoted to team manager in 2005. He returned to their football pitch for a one off match for Longford, who at the time were dubbed "the worst team in England" in a bid to support the Grassroots game.
A playing career which saw him win over 800 domestic and International caps, including over 80 goals, one of the most iconic England images is of him scoring a penalty in 1996.
