Winners Of The Thurlow Nunn Youth League Championship

CHAMPIONS
- Darren Theobald

UPDATED

It was a case of sweet revenge as the Under 18s defeated Deeping Rangers 2-1 to win the Thurlow Nunn Youth League Championship, this after losing to the same side last week in the League Cup.

In a game that saw AFC on top for the vast majority of the game it was not until late in the second half that the goals came, Ollie Gravett opened the scoring. Deeping equalised with a shot that took a deflection to beat Luca Collins, but the winner came from from Kie Dyer a few minutes later.

The boys gratefully accepted the trophy to bring the club’s season to a close and it was another successful one for the club’s youngsters.

Congratulations to all the boys and to the their coaches for all their success.

AFC Sudbury U18's are in Cup action again on Friday night with a sense of Déjà vu.....

They meet Deeping Rangers again with the match again at Brewers Green Lane, the home of Diss Town.
They met last week in the youth cup, unfortunately with Deeping Rangers being victorious 5-4 on penalties after the 90 minute result of 3-3.

The match is scheduled to kick off at 7:30pm and I know that Danny Laws and the players would like to see as many supporters there as possible cheering on the lads.

The AFC Sudbury minibus will be in action and for just £5 you can grab a seat, but be quick, they will be going fast (the seats, not the minibus !). It will leave AFC Sudbury at 6pm and can stop on route for pickup if needed. If you wish to book a seat, contact Ben Davies ASAP.

Come along and support the lads in the last competitive match of the season.
