Lest We Forget

This morning the boys wore their Poppy Armbands to show their respect for those that have fallen in battle to protect our freedoms.

It was another close game today with only 1 goal in it, but an excellent display from them. They gave everything for the whole game, and had no subs to call on for a breather, and by the end of the game you could see they had nothing left to give. Their fight for each other is amazing to see.

Well done to Kray for scoring his FIRST goal for the team. Great team goal with the ball starting on the left of the pitch before being passed in field to Leo who took the ball from the centre of the pitch around 2 or 3 defenders. He got the ball to the byline and put in a great right footed cross for Kray who hit it first time and it went under the keepers legs.

In the second half Lucas pulled off a few amazing saves to keep us in the game, even diving at the feet of the striker on one occasion showing no fear of getting hurt to stop the ball hitting the back of the net.

Jude Monger scored his first goal of the season by not giving up on the ball. A corner from Max put into the box caused confusion from their defenders and goalkeeper and Jude made sure that he followed the ball in and put it in the back of the net.

Today’s Man Of the Match award could have gone to any of the boys today for all their hard work and never giving up. But one player just gave that little bit extra for his team. Playing central midfield today, he helped his teammates by being our box to box player. When we were attacking he supported the attackers, when we were u see pressure he got back to put in important tackles. He had the honour of wearing the Captains armband today and he led by example - well done Charlie Bradshaw.

Looking forward to next weeks game against, when we will be playing our local derby against Cornard United - Come on you Yellows!
