AFC Sudbury are delighted to announce the visit of no less than four professional clubs to The King’s Marsh Stadium, for a pre-season football treat for supporters.
Ipswich Town, Norwich City and Cambridge United will all play against the AFC First XI, with Colchester United bringing a team to play against the club’s newly formed Under 18’s team.
Other friendlies to test the first XI include a home match against local rivals Bury Town in the Aaron Gardiner Memorial Match and a visit to Kings Lynn Town, to provide more stiff opposition.
AFC also welcome Hadleigh United and Felixstowe and Walton United to Sudbury, as well as away trips early on to both Walsham-le-Willows and Diss Town.
AFC Sudbury Manager David Batch commented, 'We work together as a club throughout pre-season, so I expect many of our talented young players - both the current ones and the ones set to join us - to have the chance alongside senior players in many of these games'.
