More silverware for the club and it’s congratulations to the Under 12’s who picked up a cup for winning the recent Thetford Bulldogs Five-a-Side tournament.

From little acorns!

Below is a report of the days events;-

The Under 12s travelled to the Thetford Bulldogs 5 a side tournament last Saturday 16th June.
The boys went through the group stages being unbeaten winning five games and drawing one, playing some good two touch football. They scored twelve goals and conceded only one.

Next up were Thetford Bulldogs FC in the semi-final, despite being on top for most of the game they could not score, but neither could the opposition. The game went to penalties with the boys winning 7-6 with some great spot kick being taken.

In the Final they took on Aylsham FC with the opposition having the best chances of the game. However the Sudbury boys managed to dig deep and kept themselves in the final which ended all square with no goals bring scored.

The Final was decided on penalties, the boys usung their experience from the semi-final came out victorious in the penalty shoot winning 4-3 from the spot kicks.

A good day all round.

Well done to all the boys who played they did themselves, the management team and AFC Sudbury proud.
