Mark Morsley "swoops" for new signing

I've been keeping an eye on Tom and once his contract was up I decided to bring him to Sudbury.
- AFC Sudbury Manager Mark Morsley

AFC Sudbury are delighted to announce that manager Mark Morsley has managed to gain the signature of a new signing.

Tom Monk has agreed terms with the club and has made the switch from Coggeshall Town.

Tom spent several years with Colchester United playing alongside Callum Harrison, when released by the U's he was signed by Coggeshall Town, since then he has been instrumental in their promotions and in March 2018 made his 100th appearance for them. In September 2017 he signed for Maldon & Tiptree on dual registration with Coggeshall.

Tom is a Large 6'2" forward who has been on Morsleys radar for a while now and once out of contract he swooped to secure his signature.

Speaking moments ago Morsley said "I've been keeping an eye on Tom and once his contract was up I decided to bring him to Sudbury. He's 6'2" and built like a brick Sh........... (toilet block). His power and pace is very much what impresses me".

All going well, supporters will be able to see Tom in a AFC shirt on Saturday at Canvey island.
