The Seasiders visit Sudbury

Saturday will see The Seasiders visit us. Felixstowe and Walton United are the visitors to The MEL Group Stadium for a 3pm Kick Off.

Following on from the disappointment of having to postpone the match on Tuesday due to the Power related Issues, I am pleased to announce that engineers have been onsite several times since and have diagnosed the issue and put in a fix to ensure it cannot happen again (Fingers Crossed)

Felixstowe & Walton United sit in 10th place in the league level with Sudbury on points. A great post xmas run has seen them go unbeaten in the last three matches and have not yet conceded a goal in 2019, including a great 3-0 win over Heybridge Swifts. This will be the third meeting of the club this season, In the league Sudbury travelled to the coast and came away with all three points after a first half goal by Reece Harris. The teams also met in the League Cup when Sudbury fielded a very young team who held Felixstowe 0-0 after 90 minutes, but then lost 4-3 on penalties.

Post xmas results have not been as good for AFC Sudbury, only one win since their New Years Day victory at Bury Town has seen them slip a couple of places. But they have been faced with tough matches against Aveley, Bowres & PItsea, Tilbury and Heybridge.

The Match is being Sponsored by myself, i'm celebrating being made redundant from Delphi after 24 years (not sure celebrating should be the right word !). We are hoping for a Sudbury win, the last match I sponsored was the 8-2 win against Dereham Town so i'm hoping for some goals !!

The Bar and Kitchens will be open as usual so please come down and come inside for a pre match snack or drink.

See you there....
