The amount of organisation that went into it was incredible. I will not list the names as they might get embarrassed and I may unwittingly forget someone but to all of you who were involved in the planning, organisation, bar, catering, ticket sales, cleaning, preparing the ground and everything else that was necessary to ensure the success, on behalf of the Club, I say Thank You for a tremendous job, well done.

I would also express my sincere thanks to Kevin Keegan who not only gave one of the best after dinner sportsman’s speeches I have heard but was also prepared to sign hundreds of autographs and feature in dozens of photos. It seemed that nothing was too much trouble and he did everything he could to ensure we had a successful evening.

Lastly my thanks to go to everyone who supported the week’s events and for their generosity.
