New role for Burrows as Mallet takes the helm

Last season's Ladies manager Katie Burrows has taken on a new role in the club as “Girls and Women’s Football Ambassador”.

The managers hot seat this coming season will be filled by newly appointed manager Luke Mallet supported by current Academy Goalkeeping coach and football in the community officer Louis Hrebeniak.

Luke has impressive CV not only as player but has gained considerable experience in coaching in girls and women football. Adrian Goodwin, AFC Sudbury Director of Ladies football said “he is delighted with the new appointments”.

Academy Director Danny Laws said “With a full intake of girls into the AFC Academy for next season the ladies team will be run along the same lines as the men's football with a good mixture of academy and senior players”. He went on to say “this is a model that has been very successful in integrating Academy boys into the first team and feel confident it will work with the Ladies team.”
