Barry Lakin

A former professional with Leyton Orient, was in non-league football for a number of years as a manager, coach and assistant manager before joining AFC towards the end of the 2011/12 season from Heybridge Swifts. After start of the 2012/13 season in October 2012 he decided to stand down. He subsequently joined Stanway Rovers as assistant manager in November 2012 and on 7th January 2013 he was appointed as their manager. He remained in post for season 2013/14, however on 25th September 2013 he was relieved of his duties with the club. On 1st October he was announced as coach of Maldon & Tiptree and he remained with them until the end of the season. On 27th May 2014 he announced that he had left them. In August 2014 he was taking coaching with Braintree Town U17's.

Danny Laws

He joined AFC at the start of the 2014/15 season to take over the club’s Res/U21’s side as well having an overview of the youth development system. He was previously first team manager at both Needham Market and Leiston. On 30th December 2014 he took over as Caretaker Manager of the AFC first team after the management team left. He was in control for three games before stepping down on 10th January 2015 when the new manager arrived. He was appointed as the club’s Director Of Football. On 26th April 2015 he completed the London Marathon. He continued leading the club's Academy and managing both the club's Reserve and Academy sides. He continued throughout the 2015/16 season and in July 2016 he was elected to the Board of Directors of AFC. In July 2017 he was still in charge of the Academy and still Director of Football. On 12th September 2017 he was appointed as Caretaker Manager once again following the departure of the management team. He took the team for six games before on 5th October handing over the reigns and returning to the club's Academy

Ben Lewis

A quick strong defender who joined the club at the start of the 2013/14 season following the manager from his previous club Wroxham. On 29th November 2013 he went on a one-month loan to Thurlow Nunn side Gorleston. He returned and played for AFC again on 28th December 2013. On 4th March 2014 he oowas sold for a small fee to Gorleston. In June 2014 he joined Diss Town. He was there on 6th April 2015 when the club were relegated. In the middle of June 2015 he signed a one-year deal with the Brewers Green Lane club, where he stayed throughout the 2015/16 season. On 4th June 2016 he was announced as a new signing for the 2016/17 season at Wroxham and he was playing for them on 5th November 2016. He played throughout the 2016/17 season and at the end of it won both the Managers and Players Player of The Year awards. On 25th May 2017 he signed a two-year contract and joined Norwich United, however on 16th October 2017 he went on loan to Gt Yarmouth Town until 9th January 2018.

Reece Bayly-Lawrence

A youngster who was with the youth section was named on the bench for a first team game in season 2013/14. On 20th February 2016 he was playing for Cornard United.

Stuart Lillie

‘Lasher’, a lanky player he had previously been with Sudbury Town where he scored a wonder FA Cup goal in a replay against Stotfold in September 1998. He also played for most other locals clubs mainly as a striker before joining AFC’s reserve ranks. On 9th April 2002 his big day came was named as substitute for the first team against Clacton, he did not get on! At the start of season 2004/05 he was playing for Bures United. At the start of 2006/07 he had signed for Hadleigh United. In November 2007 he was playing for Sudbury Athletic, but 2009/10 he was with Long Melford. At the start of the 2011/12 season he was appointed as assistant/player manager of the newly reformed Bures United. After an injury in December 2013 he was playing with Bures Reserves.

David Lorimer

A 20 year-old forward, known as 'Bart' he was with West Suffolk College then played for Stowmarket Town before in season 2010/11 scoring 58 goals in 28 games for Bildeston Rangers in the Suffolk and Ipswich League making him the league’s leading scorer. He joined AFC on trial at the start of the 2011/12 season, and on 28th July signed a year-long contract with the club. He made his debut on 23rd August 2011, however on 3rd December he was allowed to go on a four week loan to Whitton United that was extended for a further four weeks. In the middle of January 2012 he was dual registered with both clubs. At the end of the 2011/12 season he was not retained by the club. On 25th August 2012 he was back playing with Bildeston Rangers. Whitton United announced on 4th March 2013 that he had joined them. In August 2013 he had returned once again to Bildeston Rangers and was still with them in January 2014. He left and went to play for Hadleigh United at the start of the 2013/14 season and continued throughout 2014/15. At the end of it May 2015 he won The Supporters Player Of The Year Award. He was still with the club in February 2016 and remained until the end of the 2015/16 season. On 25th July 2016 he played for Long Melford. He signed for Long Melford but was also part of the Bildeston Rangers management team for the 2016/17 season. On 16th August he scored a hat trick for Melford. At the end of the season Bildeston won promotion to Division One of the SIL. He continued with Bildeston throughout the 2017/18 season when the club lost in the final of the Bob Coleman Cup Final and finished third in the league. At the end of season awards he won both the Players Player and Supporters Player of the Year Awards and was also won the Top Goalscorer Award.
